Our Team
Dominik Lübben
4th Dan Tamashii-Ryu · 4th Dan Goshinryu-Kempo · 1st Dan Shidokan
Founder & Head Instructor
Dominik Lübben is the founder and head instructor of Kiryoku Dojo Berlin. His path in the martial arts began at age eleven under Heinz Köhnen in Freiburg — and 29 years later, that foundation continues to shape every class he teaches.
His teachers include Soke Heinz Köhnen, Soke Seikichi Iha, and Shihan Wladimir O. Dexbach. Beyond his formal training, he has broadened his perspective through numerous seminars and halls of fame, working with masters such as Cynthia Rothrock, Emma Elmes, and Samuel Kwok.
After moving to Berlin, he founded Kiryoku Dojo in 2014 with a clear vision: to teach traditional martial arts and honest self-defense in a setting where discipline and community carry equal weight.
Robert Nenninger
1st Kyu Tamashii-Ryu · 3rd Kyu Shotokan Karate
Vice Chairman & Children’s Instructor
Robert serves as vice chairman of the club and leads our children’s classes. His martial arts roots lie in Shotokan Karate, which he practiced for many years — including time at the renowned Waseda University in Japan.
At Kiryoku Dojo, he has continued his journey in Tamashii-Ryu and now holds the 1st Kyu. With this depth of experience and a calm, patient teaching style, he is particularly well-suited to guiding our youngest members on their first steps into the martial arts.
Felix Kuchinka
2nd Kyu Tamashii-Ryu
Treasurer & Assistant Instructor
Felix is the club’s treasurer and supports both adult and children’s classes as an assistant instructor. He has been a steady part of Kiryoku Dojo for six years.
Holding the 2nd Kyu (brown belt) in Tamashii-Ryu, he brings not only solid technique to the mat but also a clear understanding of what it means to grow step by step along the martial arts path — a perspective that makes his teaching especially relatable.
