The biggest and best belt testing in club history!

Today wrapped up the biggest and best belt testing in club history! With over 28 students ranging from 4 to 41 years old—and from white to brown belt—it was truly an epic day. What was even more epic, though, was everyone’s performance, from our youngest little tigers to our adults. Huge respect to all of you!

The little ones got their turn on Friday. With a time of only about 30 minutes, they had the shortest part of the 5-hour belt testing. Among other things, they had to demonstrate Kihon Kata, as well as identify and perform techniques shown on coloring sheets.

Naturally, everyone was incredibly proud of their new white-yellow belts—and they have every right to be!

Today, we kept the momentum going with the kids aged 7 and up, followed by the adults. We started off with rolls, moved on to jump kicks over obstacles and other students to kata and basic techniques.

Of course, they weren’t just standing on the stones; they also used them as tools for body conditioning and, of course, to practice control.

In addition to weaponless kata and their applications, students also had to demonstrate weapons kata, featuring tools like the sword and sai. Everyone passed their tests with flying colors!
