The Kiryoku Dojo is a place for traditional Okinawan martial arts. We embody the values and principles of original Okinawa Goshinryu Kempo (Okinawa Kempo Karate). Loyalty to the dojo, to our core values, the Dojo Kun (Dojo Rules), and to the Sensei is a fundamental prerequisite for participating in classes and being present at the Shihonkin Dojo. Active participation in events is encouraged.
In an atmosphere of courtesy and mutual respect, everyone here is free to express their individual strengths. We reject conformity and militant obedience. We foster a tolerant coexistence where age, gender, religion, or political worldview are irrelevant. Every student at Kiryoku Dojo has the same rights and responsibilities and is treated with the same respect. Members and sympathizers of all political parties and religious communities permitted in Germany are warmly welcomed at Kiryoku Dojo. We strictly reject extremism of any kind, intolerance, or disparagement towards fellow students or the Sensei.
A family atmosphere prevails at Kiryoku Dojo. This means every student is responsible for themselves, their fellow students, and the dojo. We are a large community that sticks together through thick and thin. We provide mutual support for everyday life. Training improves students' inner and outer strength. It's about strengthening and further revealing the inner good in everyone. This way, we can all become better people and strengthen cohesion not only within the dojo but also in society. We understand martial arts as an effective form of personal development for greater self-confidence, perseverance, and discipline, ultimately leading to more success in life and career.
