At the Kiryoku Dojo in Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg, we teach Okinawa Kempo Karate, a style that blends two traditions: Tamashii-Ryu and Shidokan Karate. We teach karate in its original spirit, meaning we focus on real-world self-defense effectiveness, character development, and strengthening both mind and body!

In an era where bullying is unfortunately becoming more common in schools, children desperately need a place where they can find support, develop self-confidence, and build resilience. Our approach focuses on individualized development and positive reinforcement for each child. We strongly reject the idea of forced uniformity and the militant tone often found in many sports karate schools. Instead, we cultivate a positive and respectful atmosphere where we help every child grow and reach their full potential.

We teach in German and US-English

Adult courses are offered in German and English (US). This allows people without sufficient German language skills to participate in class without language barrier.
